Hawkestone Golf Club is a country club situated on the banks of the newly created Kakariki lakes on Kakariki Road between Halcombe and State Highway 1 in the beautiful Manawatu/Rangitikei region.

Founded in 1930 as the club for the working man and his family, Hawkestone Golf Club has a long tradition as the friendly and accessible club for all golfers. 

This tradition is carried on today with the clubs strategic plan focusing on participation and inclusion with an emphasis on youth, women and girls and players of all physical abilities.

Our mature course is well maintained by a capable team of volunteer green keepers and consists of nine fairways with 18 tee blocks and two pin placements per green.

The course is well set up for players of all levels from the learner to the low handicapper A grade pennants player.

We encourage social and casual golfers with ample opportunity for green fee players in a relaxed and quite environment with affordable green fees of $20.00 per 9 or 18 hole round. Social groups are encouraged and accommodated.

Our club day competitions are held on Saturdays teeing off at 11.00 am with visitors welcome to join in the haggle for both men and women. A group of nine hole players tee off at 1pm on Saturdays with a nine hole club day on Tuesdays teeing off at 10.00 am.

Our well appointed club rooms and bar are situated on an elevated site with great views of the bottom three fairways and adjacent lake. They are open on club days and also available for hire.

Camper vans are welcome for overnight stays, $5.00 donation or free if paying green fees.
